Error: Addition object is invalid -<reason it is invalid>

This error occurs if there is an invalid property when trying to create/update an addition in Connectwise.

Cause: A property that is being sent to the agreement addition is invalid and cannot be saved.

Resolution

Review the reason for this and you can make a change to resolve it

• effectiveDate cannot be less than the agreement billing start date
  • Typically occurs when override start date is set, and the date is set prior to the agreement billing start date
  • Action:  Edit the license mapping and change the override start date to match the date of the agreement billing start date or later
• Since this period has already been invoiced there will not be an invoice generated for additional products for this period. Please prorate the agreement or update the start date to on or after the Next Invoice Date.
  • Typically occurs when override start date is set, the agreement has prorate = disabled, and the date is set in a period that has already been invoiced
  • Action:  Edit the license mapping and change the override start date to match the next invoice period, or remove the override date and allow the system to set the date

Once fixed, the addition should update in the next 10 minutes
