2 - Configure billing profiles

Billing profiles are the backbone of S365L. This is how you specify the product to use in an agreement/contract and the agreement types it can be used in. 

The billing profile will be applied to an Office 365 license type or a custom license, to automate the billing of it. i.e Office 365 Backup, Managed User, Duo,  Exclaimer.

You can choose to specify a custom price or use the price from the connectwise/autotask product.

You can also choose to add this product to the agreement as Billable/Non Billable/No Charge.

We recommend creating billing profiles for all the types of 365 licenses and billing frequencies you provide your customers.

I.e. 

• Microsoft 365 business premium – Monthly
• Microsoft 365 business premium – Annual
  etc

This is so you can easily select the right SKU's when mapping the licenses.

We have two ways of adding billing profiles - Individually or using the bulk add billing profile

1. Click the billing profiles tab in Sync 365
2. Select the "Add Microsoft 365 Billing Profile" or "Bulk Add Billing Profiles if you are not already on the screen
3. Click the "Add Microsoft 365 Billing Profile" to add a new profile
   
4. Add a name for the billing profile i.e. Office 365 Business Premium – Monthly
   
5. Select the product from your PSA that you will use for this
6. If you would like to set this billing profile up to bill a custom price, tick the box and set the price you would like to override this profile to
7. Select the Billable Option, if you would like to have it add to connectwise as Billable/Non Billable/No Charge
   
8. Save the billing profile
9. Repeat for all billing profiles and license types you would like to use
